2026 BUDGET: PRESIDENCY, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, DEFENCE, WORKS TOP FEDERAL MDAs’ ALLOCATIONS

The Federal Government’s proposed 2026 budget has outlined detailed allocations to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), with defence, works, finance, and economic planning receiving the largest shares.

According to the breakdown, the Ministry of Defence tops the list with over ₦3.15 trillion, closely followed by the Federal Ministry of Works with about ₦3.49 trillion. The Federal Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning also received significant allocations of ₦16.78 trillion and ₦9.10 trillion respectively.

Below is the full breakdown of allocations to MDAs in the 2026 budget proposal:
