
Business mogul and BUA Group Chairman/CEO, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced a major financial incentive for the Super Eagles following their thrilling 2–0 win over Algeria, signaling his commitment to motivating the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals.
In a statement dated January 10, 2026, Rabiu hailed the players’ outstanding performance, describing the victory as one that lifted the nation’s spirit.
He pledged $500,000 to the Super Eagles if they triumph in the semi-final match, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored.

Rabiu further promised an even bigger reward should Nigeria lift the AFCON trophy, pledging $1 million for a final victory, alongside $100,000 for each goal in the decisive game.
Urging the team to maintain their winning momentum, the BUA Group boss encouraged the Super Eagles to continue making Nigeria proud as they chase continental glory.
