AIYEDATIWA SACKS ALL POLITICAL AIDES

In a strategic move aimed at boosting efficiency, strengthening grassroots coordination in Ondo State.

Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the immediate disengagement of all his political aides in a sweeping administrative shake-up aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery across government.

The affected categories include Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants attached to the governor’s office.

A statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the decision forms part of ongoing efforts to reposition the administration for enhanced performance.

According to the statement, the governor expressed appreciation to the disengaged aides for their contributions to governance and development in the state, wishing them success in their future engagements.

In a related development, the state government announced plans to inject fresh manpower into the system with the appointment of about 1,000 new political aides.

The new appointees, who will be drawn across all 203 wards in the 18 local government areas of the state, are expected to strengthen grassroots coordination and deepen government presence at the community level.

The appointments, according to the statement, will be announced in due course as part of the administration’s broader strategy to enhance inclusiveness and responsiveness in governance.
