Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has submitted a list of twelve individuals to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners in the State Executive Council.
The governor’s request was conveyed in a formal letter addressed to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, and dated Thursday, June 12, 2025.
“In exercise of the power conferred on me by Section 192 (1&2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), I wish to forward to your esteemed office the following Commissioner nominees for your kind consideration and confirmation of the House of Assembly,” Aiyedatiwa wrote.
The nominees include:
- Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun
- Engr. Aycrinde Abiola Olawoye
- Hon. Ayodele Akande
- Engr. Alabi Johnson
- Alhaji Amidu Takuro
- Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu
- Mr. Idowu Ajanaku
- Dr. Oluwaseun Abosede Osamaye
- Dr. Tob Loko
- Mr. Olaolu Akindolire
- Hon. Sunday Olajide
- Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry
The governor appealed for swift legislative action on the nominations, saying, “I shall be most obliged to the Honourable House for your expeditious action on this request in the overall interest of our dear State.”
The communication was signed by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
