Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Friday landed in the peaceful town of Andravida, situated in the Elis region of northwestern Peloponnese, Greece, for the Executive Committee Meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Joining him on the mission were Senators Asuquo Ekpenyong, Ibrahim Dankwambo, and Titus Zam—key members of the Nigerian Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs.
This was made known in a statement issued by his media team and shared with PUNCH Online on Saturday.
Akpabio and his team were warmly received by Dr. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou, a prominent figure in the Hellenic Parliament with global recognition in environmental and climate policy across the Mediterranean region.
Welcoming the Nigerian delegation, Dr. Avgerinopoulou remarked, “The presence of Nigeria in such forums not only strengthens parliamentary diplomacy but also amplifies African voices on the world stage.”
