Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, Comrade Bola Taiwo, has congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on their victory at the Court of Appeal, describing the judgment as a clear validation of the people’s will.
In a statement made available to RootedScope Media on Thursday, July 31, 2025, shortly after the appellate court delivered its ruling, Comrade Bola Taiwo hailed the unanimous judgment as a significant moment for democratic integrity and judicial independence in Nigeria.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my principal, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on their resounding victory at the Court of Appeal,” the statement read.
According to the governor’s aide, the ruling has not only restored confidence in the electoral process but has also reinforced the legitimacy of the mandate freely given by the people of Ondo State during the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
“Despite the distractions and political theatrics aimed at derailing the popular will, the judiciary has stood tall as the defender of democracy. Today’s verdict is a triumph of truth, justice, and constitutional order,” Taiwo said.
He further commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership style, describing him as calm, focused, and development-driven even in the heat of the legal tussle.
“Your Excellency’s unwavering commitment to governance, despite ongoing legal distractions, remains a shining example of statesmanship. This victory belongs not only to you, but to every Ondo citizen who stands for progress and good governance,” he added.
Taiwo called on all stakeholders across political divides to close ranks and support the Aiyedatiwa-led administration in its quest to deliver on its development agenda.
“The journey to a greater Ondo State continues—stronger, united, and with renewed purpose,” he concluded.
