In response to the growing complexities of raising adolescents in today’s fast-changing world, a health expert, Dr. Yetunde Olagbuji, has called on parents to adopt more intentional and informed parenting approaches.
She made the call during the unveiling of her new book, “Dear Parents: A Supreme Guide to Raising 21st Century Adolescents,” where she stressed that modern parenting demands more than affection, but conscious guidance and understanding.

Dr. Yetunde said the publication was inspired by her years of engagement with young people and families, noting that many parents face growing challenges in understanding and guiding adolescents in a rapidly changing society.

According to her, in a post via her verified Facebook account, the book provides practical guidance to help parents better understand their children, strengthen communication, and support them in navigating social pressures.
She added that the resource is tailored to equip parents with the skills needed to raise confident, responsible, and purpose-driven young adults.
The author further revealed that the book is accompanied by a workbook designed to encourage reflection and help parents apply the lessons effectively in their daily interactions at home.
Describing the book as a must-read for parents and intending parents, Dr. Yetunde urged stakeholders in child development to embrace intentional parenting practices.

She maintained that adopting structured guidance and mentorship remains crucial to raising adolescents who can thrive in today’s dynamic world.
