A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has responded to recent remarks attributed to media personality Dele Momodu, describing them as unfounded and reflective of personal bias.
In his reaction, Fani-Kayode dismissed allegations linking him to past political dealings, insisting he has remained politically active for decades and has consistently operated within Nigeria’s power structure. He also maintained that his political background and experience far outweigh those of his critic.
He further faulted Momodu’s comments about his family and personal history, arguing that such references were irrelevant to public discourse. According to him, attempts to discredit his lineage or political relevance do not alter his standing.
Fani-Kayode also referenced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing international engagements, noting that the President’s diplomatic activities underscore Nigeria’s global relationships. He suggested that political disagreements should not detract from national interests.
On future elections, he expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure re-election in 2027, stating that opposition criticisms would not significantly alter political outcomes.

He concluded by urging his critic to remain composed and focus on constructive engagement, reiterating that his own attention remains on national service and political responsibilities.
