The Federal Government has announced the release of results for the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into the nation’s 80 Federal Unity Colleges.
According to the Ministry of Education, a total of 64,578 pupils registered for the examination, with 61,290 candidates sitting for the test, while 3,288 were absent.
Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, said the NCEE remains a highly competitive exam designed for Nigerian children at home and abroad who seek admission into Federal Unity Colleges across the country.
Prof. Ahmad described the examination as a symbol of national cohesion, noting that the motto “Pro Unitate” underscores the role of unity schools in strengthening national integration. She added that Federal Unity Colleges have become the preferred option for many Nigerian parents due to their standards and diversity.
She also directed the Senior Secondary Education Department to ensure that the admission process is concluded swiftly and in line with approved guidelines.
