His Excellency, former Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, has alleged that Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is plotting the removal of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
Mr. Fayose, in a statement via his verified X handle (@GovAyoFayose) circulating on social media, claimed that the alleged move is expected to begin this week with a government query purportedly to be issued against the Olubadan.

He further alleged that the planned query would cite the monarch’s absence at a recently failed coronation of high chiefs in Ibadanland held two weeks ago, alongside other unspecified allegations.
According to him, the development forms part of what he described as a broader political scheme targeting the revered traditional ruler, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
“As for us, we will be watching the Sìgìdì of Engr. Seyi Makinde tó fẹ́ ṣe eré ẹ̀tẹ́,” Fayose said.

The Oyo State Government has yet to officially respond to the allegation at the time of filing this report.
