The Coordinating Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, has announced a multi-year partnership between the Ministry of Health and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to enhance accountability in the nation’s health sector.
The partnership will ensure that spending on the ongoing upgrades of primary healthcare centres across the country is closely monitored. Under the agreement, the ICPC will track and oversee projects identified by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) in real time, before completion certificates are issued.
Professor Pate added that hundreds of Performance and Financial Management Officers are already deployed across all local government areas, working alongside the 774 National Health Fellows recently commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“This initiative is part of our renewed commitment to integrity, transparency, and delivering better value for Nigerians,” he said.
