A collaborative project between the Nigerian government and Japan will provide support to fifteen teacher training institutions located across all of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones. This initiative is part of the Japan-funded project, “Capacity Building of Teachers to Promote Continuous and Inclusive Access to Safe and Quality Education for Girls in West Africa.”
During a validation workshop that focused on situational analysis and baseline assessment for the project, the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, stated that all identified shortcomings in teachers’ capabilities would be addressed effectively. She noted that the training is aligned with the objectives of the Nigerian education sector renewal initiative.
Prof. Ahmad emphasized the importance of all stakeholders contributing their utmost efforts to guarantee the project’s success.
