The Ondo State Police Command has verified the abduction of Nelson Adepoyigi, a prominent figure within the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ifon, located in the Ose local government area of the state.
Adepoyigi, who serves as the Chairman of APC, Ifon ward 5 in Ose LGA, was reportedly taken from his residence in Ifon on Monday evening by unidentified gunmen.
Olushola Ayanlade, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the event, stating that the politician was kidnapped at the entrance to his farm.
He stated, “I can confirm to you that the chairman APC ward 5 was kidnapped at the entrance of his farm along Ifon-Owo road.
“At the receipt of the report the DPO Ifon in collaboration with the hunters , local VGN and Nigeria Army personnel have launched a manhunt for the suspects.”
