Amotekun Commandant Assures of Maximum Cooperation

The Ondo State Government, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation, Hon. Orioye Benedict Gbayisemore, has taken its youth-security engagement initiative to the Southern Senatorial District of the state.
The event, held in partnership with the Ondo State Security Network, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, was themed “The Relevance of Youth in the Grassroots Security Architecture of Ondo State.”

The move is part of government’s continued efforts to ensure that all communities across the state remain safe, secure, and inclusive in the fight against crime and insecurity.
Speaking at the engagement, the State Commandant of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, assured participants of the corps’ commitment to a collaborative security model. “The Amotekun Corps will continue to work hand in hand with the youth to strengthen community security and protect lives and property,” he said.

In response, the youths pledged their full support for the state’s security outfit and expressed their readiness to play active roles in intelligence gathering and community watch initiatives.
The engagement is part of a broader move by the state government to build safer communities through inclusive and youth-driven approaches to security.
