Members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Owo chapter, on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest against the suspension of the Chairman of Owo Local Government Area, Hon. Tope Omolayo.
The protest was led by members of NULGE under the directive of the Chairman of the Owo LGA chapter of the union.
The protesters, who described the suspension as “illegal,” called for its immediate reversal.

They marched through major streets of Owo with placards bearing various inscriptions, including “Omolayo Must Stay,” while chanting solidarity songs to register their displeasure over the development.
