In line with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s urbanization and development agenda, the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA) has launched a major operation to remove dilapidated and unauthorized signage across the state.

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage and Advertisement, Yomi Oyekan, said many of the targeted structures pose serious safety risks due to poor installation, weak construction, or lack of proper authorization. “This cleanup is vital to prevent avoidable accidents, reduce visual clutter, and restore order to our public spaces,” Oyekan noted.

The agency’s Special Task Force has already begun clearing streets, business districts, and other high-traffic areas. OSSAA also stressed its readiness to work with advertisers and business owners to maintain a safe, organized, and regulation-compliant outdoor advertising environment.

Members of the public are urged to ensure all signage follows proper procedures and meets approved safety standards. OSSAA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting environmental order and public safety through proactive urban management.
