The Nigerian Police Force has appointed a new Public Relations Officer, replacing ACP Benjamin Hundeyin. DCP Anthony Okon Placid will now serve as the Force’s spokesperson.
In addition, the Force has set up a New Media Office to strengthen communication and public engagement. CSP Ali Giwa has been named head of this newly created unit.
Our correspondent reports that police headquarters in Abuja confirmed these changes, although no official statement has been released.
An official statement regarding these developments is expected to be issued later.
