Wike Dumps PDP Peace Deal, Blames Makinde for Party Crisis

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has withdrawn from all agreements reached to resolve the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement titled “PDP Crisis: My Position” personally signed on Sunday, Wike accused Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, of being the architect of the party’s troubles.

Wike said he told Makinde this during a private discussion, insisting the governor’s actions have deepened the party’s woes.

The FCT minister vowed to “fight on until justice is attained,” signaling a full-scale battle ahead in the PDP.

The party’s leadership tussle, which has been simmering for months, now risks spiraling out of control, with Wike refusing any further compromises.

Political analysts warn the crisis could seriously damage PDP’s chances in the upcoming elections.

As tensions escalate, all eyes are on Makinde and other PDP leaders to either broker peace or face a party divided.
