Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to see the nation’s cultural diversity as a unifying force rather than a dividing line.
In a statement to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, Mrs. Tinubu underscored the importance of embracing the country’s rich heritage, comprising over 250 ethnic groups and languages, as a foundation for national cohesion and progress.

She urged citizens to listen with empathy, celebrate differences, and lead with understanding, saying these values are critical in building a united and prosperous Nigeria.
“There is strength in our diversity. Through dialogue, mutual respect, and shared humanity, we can rediscover our true identity and move forward together,” she said.
The First Lady enjoined Nigerians to walk together in harmony and help shape a brighter future for the country and the global community.
