PSC FIXES APRIL 28–30 FOR POLICE CONSTABLE EXAM, WARNS AGAINST FRAUD

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has slated April 28 to 30, 2026, for the conduct of the written examination for prospective police constables nationwide.

The commission, in a statement by its Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Torty Njoku Kalu, said the exercise would be carried out in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) across centres in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

It clarified that only candidates who scaled through the physical and credential screening stage would be permitted to sit for the examination.

Applicants who qualified at the previous stage have been directed to access the recruitment portal from April 24 to print their examination slips, which contain details of their schedule and designated venues.

The PSC also outlined requirements for the exercise, stating that candidates must present their NIN slip with a clear photograph, a printed invitation card, and writing materials at the centres.

It further prescribed a uniform dress code of white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas.

Reaffirming its stance on transparency, the commission warned applicants to steer clear of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process is free and that anyone found engaging in racketeering or inducement would face legal consequences.

The PSC urged candidates to rely strictly on official channels for credible information regarding the recruitment process.
