The Nigerian National Coalition Group (NNCG) has formally approached the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with a request to register a new political platform known as the All Democratic Alliance (ADA).
In a letter dated June 19, 2025, and acknowledged by INEC on June 20, the coalition proposed the new party with “Justice for All” as its slogan. The application was signed by Chief Akin A. Rickets, who serves as the Protem National Chairman of the association.
“We respectfully write to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, requesting the registration of our association, the All Democratic Alliance, ADA, as a political party,” the letter read in part.
According to the NNCG, the decision to pursue full party registration followed an internal resolution by the coalition to support the group’s political aspirations.
The letter indicated that all necessary documentation—ranging from the party’s constitution, manifesto, minutes of meeting, logo, and flag—was included in the submission. The party’s ideology, legal framework, organizational structure, and symbolism of its colors and maize emblem were also outlined.
The coalition emphasized that the move aligns with relevant sections of the 1999 Constitution, the 2022 Electoral Act, and international democratic standards.
The proposed party’s national secretariat was listed at the bottom of the official letterhead submitted to INEC.
Concluding the application, Chief Rickets noted, “While we eagerly await further action from the commission on the next step forward towards attaining our desired goal, please accept the consideration of our highest respect.”
INEC has yet to make any public statement on the application.
