Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died after battling stage-four cancer.
His death was announced by one of his daughters, Kaira, during a Facebook Live session.
The actor’s health challenge became public last week after his daughters, Kaira and Lima, appealed for assistance to support their father’s treatment.
The family had disclosed that doctors treating Ogogo could no longer administer chemotherapy because of his condition.
Following the development, the family reportedly explored other treatment options, including specialised medical procedures and traditional remedies.
Ogogo was a respected figure in the Nigerian film industry, particularly in Yoruba-language movies, where he built a career spanning several decades.
