2027: COALITION OR NOT, TINUBU’LL BEAT ATIKU, OBI COMBINED – FAYOSE

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said President Bola Tinubu will defeat former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, even if they form an alliance against him in the 2027 presidential election.

Fayose stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He said the election would be competitive but maintained that a joint effort by Atiku and Obi would not stop Tinubu from winning.

“It’s a three-way horse; maybe I am not putting it right. Atiku is there, and Obi is there. Even if they come together, this man (Tinubu) will still defeat them,” he said.

Fayose also predicted that Tinubu would secure more than 12 million votes in the election.

He said an opposition coalition could affect the contest if the parties involved failed to establish strong political structures nationwide.

Fayose specifically pointed to the South-West, saying the region would deliver millions of votes for Tinubu.

“South-West will come up with not less than six million differences; I’m telling you, between five to six million. Write it down,” he said.

He also questioned the political structures of Atiku and Obi in Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states.

“Where is their structure?” he asked.

The former governor further said electoral manipulation had become increasingly difficult.

“To rig the election now is very difficult. Very, very difficult,” Fayose said.
