OYEBANJI, TINUBU GET RE-ELECTION ENDORSEMENT AS EKITI LEADERS UNITE AT PARAPO PAVILION

A massive show of political unity and support played out on Monday in Ado-Ekiti as prominent political leaders, stakeholders, and citizens gathered at the Parapo Pavilion to endorse President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office.

The event, which had the air of a strategic political declaration, brought together leaders across party lines, reinforcing a growing wave of solidarity ahead of future elections.

Governor Oyebanji, while addressing the crowd, described the endorsement as a “deeply humbling experience” and pledged to rededicate himself to the service of the Ekiti people.

“I remain focused on service, performance, and the prosperity of Ekiti State. This expression of confidence renews our shared vision of inclusive development and responsible governance,” he said.

Dignitaries at the event included Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; former Ekiti State Governors — Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Ayodele Fayose, and Segun Oni; and Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, among others. Their presence signaled a rare alignment of political forces in the state.

In a significant political development, Senator Biodun Olujimi and several other opposition figures officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the event. Their defection, according to Oyebanji, signals a “broader unity of purpose” and the building of a stronger political front in Ekiti.

“To our new members, I assure you of fairness, respect, and full participation as we move forward together,” the governor added.

The rally, punctuated with music, speeches, and applause, ended with a firm declaration to align with President Tinubu’s agenda for national renewal while consolidating development gains within the state.

Observers say the gathering is one of the clearest signs yet of the APC’s growing momentum and the Governor’s expanding influence across political divides in Ekiti.
