Akure — Nurses and health practitioners across Ondo State are set for the 60th edition of the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme (MCPDP) on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 9 a.m., at the Nurses House, Alagbaka, Akure.
The Ondo State Sexual and Reproductive Health Coordinator, Mrs. Opeyemi Agunbiade, will deliver a lecture on adolescent health, covering adolescent-friendly health services, nutrition, and strategies for different adolescent groups. In a post via her verified handle, she said the lecture would provide practical insights for healthcare workers and equip them with updated knowledge on adolescent health challenges and innovative approaches.
Nurses including Adeola Akinola, Boluwatife Ogunleye, Funke Ilesanmi, and Kemi Oladipo told RootedScope they are looking forward to learning new ways to improve adolescent healthcare.
The MCPDP counts toward nurses’ professional development requirements, supporting career growth and license maintenance. Health experts said the lecture would strengthen Ondo State’s healthcare system, particularly for adolescent health outcomes.

Organisers urged nurses and healthcare stakeholders across the state to attend and upgrade their skills while improving health services for young people.
