President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined family, friends, and associates to celebrate Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, popularly known as Abena, on his birthday, January 9.
The President described Abegunde as a dependable ally and seasoned professional whose career exemplifies dedication, integrity, and loyalty. Highlighting his versatility, Tinubu noted Abegunde’s accomplishments across engineering, public administration, and legislative service.
Abegunde served two terms in the House of Representatives representing Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency of Ondo State. He later became Secretary to the Ondo State Government and currently serves as Executive Director, Corporate Services, at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
President Tinubu also recognized Abegunde’s international experience, recalling his tenure in the United States as a Systems Engineer with the State of Maryland and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
According to the President, Abegunde’s political journey has been marked by resilience, grassroots engagement, and an unwavering commitment to the public good, even amid political challenges.
As he celebrates another year, President Tinubu wished Hon. Abegunde good health, long life, and continued strength to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth and governance.
