Oyebanji’s Endorsements Are Voluntary Acts, Not Imposition – Committee Chair

The Chairman of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) State Endorsement Committee, Surveyor Biodun Aluko, has dismissed claims that Governor Biodun Oyebanji is attempting to force himself on the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its sole candidate.

Reacting to criticisms surrounding the formation of the 24-member committee, Aluko clarified that the group was not created by the governor but rather by party stakeholders acting on their own volition.

“The committee was not set up by Governor Oyebanji. It emerged from genuine expressions of free will by concerned stakeholders who recognize the impact of good governance in the state,” Aluko said.

He described the endorsements as an acknowledgment of the governor’s performance and not a ploy to stifle internal democracy within the party.
