The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday. A breakdown of the results shows that over 1.5 million candidates out of 1,955,069 scored below 200, meaning about 75% of the candidates failed to meet the minimum benchmark. Less than one per cent of candidates scored above 300. Only 420,415 candidates scored above 200, indicating tough competition for university admissions.
How To Check 2025 UTME Results
Option 1: Online via the JAMB Portal
1. Visit the official JAMB result-checking portal.
2. Log in using your registered email address and password.
3. Click on the “Check My Results” link. Your UTME result will be displayed on the screen.
Option 2: Via SMS
1. Send an SMS to 55019 with the word UTMERESULT using the phone number you used during registration. Ensure you have at least ₦50 airtime on your line.
2. Wait for a response. You will receive your UTME result via SMS.
Note: After receiving your result by SMS, visit the JAMB portal to print a copy for official purposes.
