President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, paid a condolence visit to the Dantata family in Kano following the demise of business mogul and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
The presidential jet touched down at the Aminu Kano International Airport around 3:30 p.m., where the President was welcomed by Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and other top dignitaries.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio accompanied Tinubu on the visit, which comes weeks after the elder statesman passed away in Abu Dhabi on June 28, 2025.
Though Tinubu was out of the country at the time of Dantata’s passing, he had dispatched a delegation, led by Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru, to represent the government at the burial in Saudi Arabia.
While in Kano, the President is expected to meet with members of the Dantata family, as well as extend official condolences to the government and people of the state.
