SUNSHINE CARNIVAL DEBUTS IN ONDO STATE DECEMBER 2025

Ondo State is set to stage its first-ever Sunshine Cultural Carnival, a three-day festival designed to spotlight the state’s diverse traditions and creative talents.

The event, scheduled for December 11–13, 2025, will take place at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure. It is expected to feature cultural displays from all 18 local government areas, including traditional dances, music, cuisine, fashion, arts, crafts, and vibrant processions.

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Afolabi Adesoji, described the forthcoming carnival as a “cultural rebirth” aimed at boosting tourism, creating opportunities for creatives, and reinforcing Ondo State’s reputation as a cultural hub under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s Our Ease Agenda.
