The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed circulating social media claims alleging an attempted assassination of Lt. Ahmed Yerima.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Police Command clarified that no such incident was reported or recorded anywhere in the FCT. It urged residents to disregard the false and misleading information that could cause unnecessary public panic.
The Command also advised the public to avoid spreading unverified claims and to remain vigilant, encouraging residents to report suspicious activities to the nearest police division or contact the Command Headquarters via emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08068587311.
