OKITIPUPA LG BOSS DONATES 13 VEHICLES TO MONARCHS

In a bid to boost grassroots governance, the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, on Thursday presented 13 utility vehicles to traditional rulers and handed over a brand-new bus to the Okitipupa Legislative Council.

The handover ceremony at the council secretariat featured five Toyota Fortuners and eight Toyota Corolla Cross vehicles for monarchs, while legislators received a new bus to ease their official duties.

Royal fathers and community leaders praised the Ondo State Government under Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, saying the donations would strengthen traditional institutions and enhance local administration.

Ogunsakin commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his “unwavering support” for grassroots development, describing the vehicles as both a reward for the monarchs’ contributions to peace and a tool to improve their service delivery.

“This is a reward for your service and a boost for your royal duties,” Ogunsakin told the monarchs.

Receiving the bus, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Adeleke Dada, said it would significantly improve lawmakers’ mobility and operations.

HRM Oba W. F. Akinlade, the Halu of Aye Kingdom and Chairman of the Okitipupa Council of Obas, hailed Ogunsakin as “a pace-setter” and thanked the governor for recognising the role of traditional rulers.

Oba Akinlade assured continued support for government programmes at all levels.

Ogunsakin reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with monarchs to ensure development reaches every community in the local government.
