The Nigerian Army has opened applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for enlistment as officers.
The programme is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who meet the required criteria and wish to be commissioned into selected specialist corps of the Army. Available areas include the Nigerian Army Engineers, Signals, Medical Corps, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, as well as the Education Corps.
According to the Army, the application process is free and will be conducted exclusively online. Interested candidates are expected to submit their applications between January 7 and February 4, 2026.
