
The Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency has held a strategic engagement with local government chairmen and health educators across the state as part of preparations for the 2026 Measles–Rubella vaccination catch-up campaign.
The meeting, which took place on January 5, 2026, at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy, was organised in collaboration with UNICEF and other development partners to strengthen grassroots coordination ahead of the exercise.
Participants at the meeting included chairmen of the 18 local government areas, health educators, and representatives of partner organisations such as UNICEF, the World Health Organisation, IVAC and JSI.
Officials of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and the Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency were also in attendance.

Discussions at the forum focused on improving collaboration at the local government level and ensuring effective mobilisation and implementation of the forthcoming vaccination campaign across the state.
