ERUKUBAMI DECLARES FOR ODHA ILAJE CONSTITUENCY I, UNVEILS AGENDA, WINS APC STAKEHOLDERS’ BACKING

Hon. Sunday Erukubami, a former supervisory councillor and viable Ilaje son with experience and capacity to deliver effective representation, has declared his intention to contest the Ilaje Constituency I seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly, promising competent and result-driven representation.

Hon. Erukubami made the declaration at a gathering attended by party leaders, community elders, youths, women, and other stakeholders. Supporters cheered as he unveiled an eight-point agenda centered on youth and women empowerment, job creation, infrastructure, education, and access to finance.

“I am not coming to learn; I am coming to represent with competence, boldness, and results,” he said.

In a statement made available to journalists, the aspirant pledged to promote skills acquisition and support small businesses, widows, and organized groups. He added that he would leverage legislative opportunities to facilitate employment in both the public and private sectors.

On infrastructure, he promised to push for better roads, electricity, potable water, healthcare, and shoreline protection, noting that the constituency deserves “visible and measurable progress.”

He also assured groups such as the Federation of Ugbo Youth of inclusive governance if elected.

“Our constituency deserves active and responsive representation, and together we will make it happen,” he added.

ENDORSEMENTS

Several APC stakeholders at the event spoke in support of his aspiration.

An APC chieftain, Fredrick Ikuomola, said it was the turn of Ugbo Ward V to produce a lawmaker, noting that the ward had never occupied the seat. He described Hon. Erukubami as the most credible aspirant, citing his experience as a former councillor.

The immediate past vice chairman of the local government said the aspirant performed beyond expectations while they served together, recommending him as the most qualified candidate.

Similarly, the APC chairman for Ilaje Constituency I, Iwamisan Olatokunbo, said Hon. Erukubami recorded notable achievements as supervisor and councillor, including regular salary payments and educational support despite lean resources.

A former councillor, Ebijimi Olamide, said Hon. Erukubami’s performance earned him the Best Councillor award among his peers. He described him as capable of delivering quality representation and urged leaders of Ugbo Ward V to rally behind him.
