Frontline politician and public administrator, Princess (Barr.) Catherine Oladunni Odu, has congratulated Senator Jimoh Ibrahim on his appointment as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. She described the posting as a reflection of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to putting “round pegs in round holes.”
In a statement titled “Nigeria’s voice will be heard clearly in international rooms that matter”, Princess Odu praised Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim as a man who has, over the decades, prepared himself for this important responsibility.
The first female Secretary to the Government of Ondo State said:
“I join the vast majority of Nigerians who care deeply about the country’s image abroad, especially Nigeria’s presence in international spaces that matter, to congratulate our great country on Senator Jimoh Ibrahim’s posting as Permanent Representative to the United Nations.”
She described the diplomatic appointment as a testament to Dr. Ibrahim’s distinction, noting the calibre of previous occupants of the position. Princess Odu added:
“Clearly, Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, GCFR, found you worthy to represent the country in such a significant capacity because of your track record.”
She also acknowledged the people of Ondo South Senatorial District, whom Dr. Ibrahim represented in the National Assembly, expressing their gratitude to President Tinubu for appointing their son to such a prestigious role.

Princess Odu prayed that God would guide Dr. Ibrahim in this merited role and that he would achieve even greater success than his predecessors.
