ONDO GOVT. CRACKS DOWN ON ILLEGAL BILLBOARDS, POSTERS

The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency has launched a statewide operation to remove illegal billboards, campaign posters, and dilapidated advertisement structures.

The exercise, which began yesterday across major towns and highways, is aimed at enforcing compliance with signage regulations, protecting road users, and improving the state’s visual environment.

In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Signage and Advertisement, Yomi Oyekan, the agency warned advertisers, political stakeholders, and business owners to register all materials properly to avoid removal or other regulatory actions.

The statement added that the agency remains committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly outdoor advertising environment across Ondo State.
