A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Akinpelumi Joseph Oyewole, has declared his intention to contest for the Ondo State House of Assembly seat representing Odigbo Constituency II in the 2027 general elections.
Oyewole made the declaration in a statement via his verified Facebook campaign page, “Ọ̀nà Abáyọ̀ Wọlé 2027,” on Saturday. He said his decision was driven by a desire to contribute to the development of the constituency and ensure effective representation of the people at the state legislature.
The aspirant said he is stepping forward under the platform of the APC to advance what he described as people-centred leadership and inclusive governance in the constituency.

According to him, the people of Odigbo Constituency II deserve responsive representation that will address pressing developmental challenges affecting communities in the area.
He noted that issues such as infrastructure deficits, healthcare delivery, education, youth empowerment, and agricultural development require deliberate legislative attention and strategic advocacy.
Hon. Oyewole said he will work closely with traditional rulers, youths, women, professionals, and community leaders to promote policies capable of driving sustainable development across the constituency.
He added that if given the mandate, he will remain accessible and responsive to the needs of the people while prioritising their interests at the Ondo State House of Assembly.
“Together, we can build a stronger and more prosperous Odigbo Constituency II,” Oyewole stated.

He urged residents and party members to support his aspiration as part of efforts to strengthen representation and development in the constituency.
