FUTA BOOSTS HEALTH CENTRE WITH MODERN EQUIPMENT

The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has unveiled a modern Health Centre, fitted with state-of-the-art medical equipment, in a move to strengthen healthcare delivery on campus.

The commissioning ceremony, led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Adenike Oladiji, featured a guided tour of the newly upgraded units and an inspection of the facilities, which are expected to benefit students, staff, and the surrounding community.

Speaking at the event, Acting Director of Health Services, Dr. Olufemi Famuyiwa, said the upgrade was made possible through strong administrative support, pledging that the equipment would be properly maintained and efficiently utilized.

Prof. Oladiji commended the Health Centre staff for their commitment and emphasized the critical role of functional medical facilities, particularly during emergencies. She urged the university community to maximize the new facilities and maintain high service standards.

The upgrade aligns with FUTA’s ongoing efforts under Prof. Oladiji’s leadership to enhance campus infrastructure and healthcare services.
