The Ondo State Government has announced the immediate dissolution of the boards of several parastatals and commissions following the expiration of their tenure.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the affected agencies include the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, the Muslim Welfare Board, and the Christian Welfare Board.
The statement also confirmed the expiration of the tenure of Education Secretaries across all 18 local government areas of the state.
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa directed all affected chairmen, commissioners, board members, and education secretaries to immediately hand over to the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices, pending further government directives.
He expressed appreciation to the outgoing officials for their service, commitment, and contributions to governance and development in the state during their tenure.
The development is part of what government described as ongoing administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening governance and improving institutional efficiency in Ondo State.
