ODE AYE STREET SHOW SHOWCASES IKALE CULTURAL RICHNESS

Popular entertainer and cultural advocate, Yemi Adebayo, popularly known as Bàbá Melody, has organised the Ode Aye Omaja Biripo Talents Street Show as part of efforts to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the Ikale people.

The event featured young women aged between 20 and 30 representing different streets in Ode Aye, who competed in traditional Biripo dance performances, showcasing their creativity, talent and deep appreciation of the community’s cultural values.

Speaking on the initiative, the organisers said the programme was designed to encourage youth participation in cultural activities while sustaining the rich traditions of the Ikale people.

Winners who emerged in the first, second and third positions were rewarded with gifts and other prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances.

The organisers expressed optimism that the talent show would continue to serve as a platform for discovering young talents, promoting cultural pride and preserving the Ikale Biripo dance for future generations.
