The member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the House of Representatives, Donald Ojogo, has escaped unhurt after his convoy was involved in a road crash on the Ore-Ondo Road.

The accident happened on Saturday as Ojogo was travelling to Arogbo in the Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state for a political engagement.

It was gathered that a commercial bus allegedly overtook the lawmaker’s convoy dangerously before colliding with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

The crash left some members of Ojogo’s entourage injured.

The injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment, while Ojogo was said to have escaped without serious injuries.

Reacting to the incident, Ojogo thanked God for sparing his life and preventing the crash from becoming a tragedy.

He said, “God took perfect control of the situation and prevented what could have turned into a tragic incident.”

The incident has caused concern among the lawmaker’s associates and supporters, particularly over the injuries sustained by some members of his entourage.

No death had been reported as of the time of filing this report.
