ONDO APC NAMES AIYEDATIWA, TUNJI-OJO, OTHERS IN 228-MEMBER PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL

The Ondo State chapter of the All  Congress has constituted a 228-member Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The council is expected to coordinate the party’s campaign activities and grassroots mobilisation across the 18 local government areas of the state in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and other APC candidates.

The list, signed electronically by the state APC Chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, named Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as chairman of the council.

Deputy Governor Olaide Adelami was appointed Vice Chairman I, while the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, is Vice Chairman II.

Other vice chairmen are Babatunde Kolawole, Prof. Taiwo Oyedele, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and Ayodele Olawamide.

Former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Victor Olabimtan, was named Director-General, while Sylvester Adu will serve as Deputy Director-General.

The council also has former governors, serving and former senators, members of the National Assembly, former lawmakers, political leaders, professionals, women and youth representatives and other party stakeholders.

Among those listed are former governor Olusegun Mimiko; former deputy governor Agboola Ajayi; Senator Jide Ipinsagba; Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire; Senator Dayo Faduyile; Senator Tayo Alasoadura; Senator Robert Boroffice; Senator Yele Omogunwa; Chief Olusola Oke, SAN; Dr Tunji Abayomi and several other political figures.

The APC said the council was constituted to bring together party leaders and grassroots mobilisers as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.

It added that the council would work towards strengthening support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the APC across the state.
