In a dramatic turn of events, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a public apology following widespread outrage over the poor performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Speaking at a press conference today, Wednesday, May 14th, 2025, the visibly emotional Registrar admitted to a critical error in the examination process that may have contributed to the dismal results recorded nationwide.
The apology, which has since gone viral on social media, comes after days of protests from students, parents, and education stakeholders who decried the unusual failure rate.
