The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has renamed the International Centre for Culture and Events (The Dome), Akure, after former Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
Dr. Mimiko, who governed the state from 2009 to 2017, built the facility during his tenure.
Governor Aiyedatiwa announced the renaming on Saturday at a birthday celebration organised in honour of the former governor in Abuja.
The Dome will henceforth be known as the Dr. Olusegun Mimiko International Centre for Culture and Events.
