President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians of his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance, declaring that he will not fail the citizens despite prevailing challenges.
Speaking on Thursday in Abuja while receiving members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House, the President reiterated his resolve to build a stable and prosperous nation anchored on economic reforms and inclusive growth.
Tinubu said ongoing policy adjustments were aimed at dismantling long-standing structural barriers and repositioning the economy to allow broader participation and improved livelihoods, particularly for vulnerable groups.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, governors from several states, and key figures of the All Progressives Congress, including its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
The President urged members of the group to intensify grassroots mobilisation and public enlightenment on government policies, stressing the need for citizens’ active involvement in nation-building.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s respect for democratic principles, including adherence to the rule of law, separation of powers, and protection of citizens’ rights.
Tinubu dismissed opposition criticisms, urging Nigerians not to be swayed by what he described as misleading narratives, while maintaining that meaningful reforms often come with initial difficulties.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, said the group had made significant progress nationwide, with structures already in place across local governments and wards.
Uzodimma noted that the organisation was actively engaging communities, collecting data, and expanding its reach through various grassroots platforms.
Also speaking, former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, commended the President’s courage in implementing reforms, noting that such measures are often challenging at the early stages.
He assured Tinubu of continued support from political leaders in the North-West, adding that efforts were underway to showcase federal government projects across the region.

The APC National Chairman, Yilwatda, and other political leaders at the meeting also lauded the administration’s infrastructure drive and reform initiatives.
Governors and other dignitaries present at the event delivered goodwill messages, expressing confidence in the government’s direction and pledging sustained support.
