ONDO WILL DELIVER MASSIVE VOTES FOR TINUBU — AIYEDATIWA

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has pledged the state’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence that Ondo will deliver massive votes for the President in the 2027 presidential election.

The governor spoke on Friday when he received the leadership of the Ondo State chapter of the City Boy Movement, a group supporting Tinubu, at the Governor’s Office in Akure.

The delegation, led by the movement’s state coordinators, Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Tomide Akinribido, presented an update on the group’s activities, organisational structure and grassroots mobilisation plans ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group also appealed to the governor for collaboration and support to strengthen its activities across the state.

Aiyedatiwa praised the movement for supporting the ideals of the All Progressives Congress and promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.

He said his administration had already declared its support for Tinubu’s second-term bid through the slogan, “Ondo for Tinubu 2027,” stressing that the state government would use its structures to mobilise support for the President.

According to the governor, the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, employment and youth empowerment would help drive support for Tinubu ahead of the election.

“Our people are seeing the impact of our administration in different sectors. The road projects, investments in health and education, as well as our empowerment initiatives, have strengthened the foundation for promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda in Ondo State.

“Every project that improves the lives of our people contributes to the President’s support base. The 6,000 jobs we have created, the roads we are constructing and our political appointments all have positive effects on the people and will translate into greater support for the President,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa further assured the movement and other pro-Tinubu groups in the state of his administration’s cooperation, saying they would be supported in their mobilisation efforts.

Earlier, Ayejusunle commended the governor for what he described as his leadership and commitment to the progressive agenda of the APC and the President.

He said the City Boy Movement would step up its grassroots engagement and mobilisation across Ondo State to secure victory for Tinubu and the APC in 2027.

Those present at the meeting included Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami; Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti; and Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr Abiola Olawoye.
