The Osun APC Stakeholders Forum has blamed the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, for the party’s defeat in the Aug. 15 governorship election in the state.
The forum made the allegation in an open letter dated Aug. 18, 2026, and addressed to President Bola Tinubu.
In the election, the incumbent governor and Accord candidate, Ademola Adeleke, polled 511,067 votes to defeat the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
Stakeholders expressed concern over the APC’s loss, despite what they described as the support of President Tinubu for the party’s success in the election.
The forum said Oyetola’s alleged role contributed to the party’s poor performance and urged the President to take note of the concerns raised by members of the party in the state.
