The traditional Council of Ode-Aye, alongside the Council of Chiefs and High Chiefs in the town, has distanced itself from an alleged claim suggesting the adoption of Obayangban.
In a joint position made available, the monarch and key stakeholders in the traditional institution described the report as misleading and not reflective of their collective decision or established traditional process.
They urged members of the public to disregard the rumour.
