OKITIPUPA COUNCIL BOSS COMMENDS SECURITY OPERATIVES FOR SUSTAINING PEACE IN LGA

The Executive Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, has presided over a strategic Security and Intelligence Committee meeting aimed at strengthening the security framework of the council area.

The meeting, held at the Council Secretariat, brought together heads of security agencies, traditional rulers and senior government officials in a renewed effort to deepen collaboration, enhance intelligence sharing and improve joint operations against crime.

The session was co-chaired by HRM Oba Williams Akinlade, The Halu of Aye Kingdom and Chairman, Okitipupa LG Council of Obas.

Ogunsakin commended security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace and stability in the area, noting that their contributions had been instrumental to the relative calm being enjoyed across Okitipupa and its environs.

He said: “ I appreciate your commitment and sacrifice. Your work is not unnoticed, and as a government, we are fully committed to supporting you,”

The chairman stressed the need for stronger synergy among security agencies, saying effective intelligence sharing and coordinated operations were critical to addressing emerging security threats.

He also assured security chiefs of continued support in logistics and welfare, pledging sustained collaboration to enhance operational efficiency.

Government officials present included Barr. Femi Oladokun, Secretary to the Local Government; Prince Ojomo Adeyemi, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA); Mr. Aiku Aaron, Director of General Supply and Administration (DGSA); Hon. Kowe Odunayo, Acting Chairman of Ikale North LCDA; and Engr. Ijaniyi Ebenezer, HOLGA of Ikale North LCDA.

Security agencies in attendance were ACC MT Ojo Gbenga of the FRSC, ACC Ogundana Adedayo of Amotekun Corps, Captain F.U. Uzah, representing the Commanding Officer of the 19 Battalion, Okitipupa.

Others included ASP Keniyinbo Eneyi (DPO Okitipupa), Mr. Salihu Abdullahi (SCID), S.A. Akindele Ebun (Amotekun Corps), Ibraheem Akeem Oguntayo (DSS), CSP Oketola Adewunmi (DPO Igbotako), and ASC Oroyo Ilesanmi (NSCDC).

The chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritising security, stressing continuous engagement with traditional institutions and security stakeholders to safeguard lives and property in the local government area.
